RECHEKS FOOD PRIDE SUPPORTS UNITED WAY

"1 MINUTE SHOPPING SPREE"

For the last three years Recheks Food Pride located in Beaver Dam has supported the United Way by donating a "1 Minute Shopping Spree" for an incentive for giving to the United Way of Dodge County.

In companies located throughout Dodge County anyone who pledges $1.00 per week or $52.00 per year to the United Way during campaign time gets their name put into a hat for a drawing within their company, then the winner of that drawing gets their name into a drawing when the campaign is over at the end of the year.   One name is drawn for the "1 Minute Shopping Spree"

So far the winners are:  Brian Smedema - Alliant Energy, Butch Stevens - Silgan Containers, Dale Birkett - Neuman Pools, Inc., Denise Gourlie - M&I Bank of Mayville, Carla Hagen - Mayville Engineering Company, Harry Kreis - GTI, Karen Coley - Moraine Park Technical College, Randy Zachez - ITW Bee Leitzke, Gary Margelofsky - John Deere Horicon Works, Gerri Christiansen - American National Bank, Debb Linns - Beaver Dam Unified School District, Tom Kempf - School District of Mayville, Sandy Beatie - Water Technology, Sherry Haase - Seneca Foods Clyman, Lorrianne Pea - M&I Bank of Beaver Dam, Jimmie Quade - Kraft Foods, and Paula Bastian - Seneca Foods Mayville, Melissa Olson - Dodge County Human Services & Health Department, Kathy Wolfgang - Beaver Dam Community Hospital, Tina Heller - Gleason Reel Corporation, Heidi Oestreich - Shopko and Roxie Miller - Horicon Bank.

There are still more companies that we haven't heard from that will also have winners to be added to this list.

Congratulations to all the winners.  And "Thank You" for supporting the United Way.

Day of Caring

Thank You from Green Valley

September 22, 2007, the United Way of Dodge County held their Second Annual "Day of Caring".  Green Valley benefited from the many volunteers, who assisted in making fabric quilts, removing old wallpaper from therapy rooms, painting our production area and building 2 outdoor swings.

Volunteers that assisted the Green Valley Staff and their spouses were from John Deere - Horicon Works, Kohl's, and Richards Insurance Agency.  The work that this dedicated group of community volunteers performed was such a tremondous help for our agency.  Our clients were so very thankful to have a nice place to work in and our summer campers will love the swings!

Green Valley is so thankful for the "Day of Caring" and for the volunteers that made it a success.
