United Way of Dodge County Awards More Than $5,000 to Beaver Dam Fire Department Cadet Program

BEAVER DAM, Wis. — United Way of Dodge County is proud to announce a grant of more than $5,000 to the Beaver Dam Fire Department Cadet Program, reinforcing its commitment to investing in programs that strengthen the future of Dodge County and develop the next generation of community leaders.

The Beaver Dam Fire Department Cadet Program provides young men and women with an opportunity to explore careers in the fire service and emergency medical response while developing leadership, teamwork, and life skills. Through hands-on training, mentorship from experienced firefighters, and participation in department activities, cadets gain valuable experience in fire safety, emergency response, rescue operations, public education, and community service.

The program not only prepares participants for potential careers in firefighting, emergency medical services, and public safety but also helps ensure that the Beaver Dam community continues to have dedicated, well-trained individuals ready to serve in the future. Cadets regularly assist with community events, fire prevention education, fundraising activities, and other initiatives that promote public safety throughout the area.

Funding from United Way of Dodge County will help the Cadet Program purchase training equipment, educational materials, safety gear, and other resources necessary to provide high-quality instruction and hands-on learning opportunities for its members.
